This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and your rights over it — in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible for your information

What we collect
- Enquiries you send us. When you use the booking / enquiry form or email us, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, organisation or festival (if given), the type of enquiry, and your message.
- Basic usage data. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited, approximate region, and general device/browser type). This is collected through cookies and similar technology and is reported to us in aggregate.
We do not knowingly collect special-category information, and we do not collect information from children.
Why we use it
- To respond to your booking, press, masterclass or other enquiry, and to arrange performances or engagements you ask about.
- To understand and improve how the website performs and what visitors find useful.
We process enquiry details in order to take steps, at your request, toward a possible booking or engagement, and we process usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the site.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the site and respond to you:
- Our hosting and email provider (xneelo), which stores the website and delivers enquiry emails.
- Google, as the provider of Google Analytics, which processes usage data on our behalf. See Google's Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting engagement, and then delete it when it is no longer required. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Cookies & analytics
The only cookies this site uses are those set by Google Analytics for the purpose described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking these cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- object to our processing of it; and
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including serving the site over HTTPS. No website can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
